In 2004, we added a state of the art Sporting Clay
Course with 5-Stand. The range is a fully automated
course, set amongst hard woods to fields, always keeping
in mind the comforts of our customers. Great efforts
have been made to maintain the course's natural beauty.
It is common to have to wait for the deer to pass before
you can shoot a station or to hear the poetic calls of a
Bob-White quail. This course is a great joy for the
novice and the experienced alike. Our course is both
challenging and fun and meets the needs of all levels of
shooting.
Sporting Clays is one of the fastest growing shooting
sports today. It's wing shooting at its best, year
round. We have an excellent assortment of portable,
housed, clay trap machines by Laporte. Our full range
of clay targets are innovative and versatile. We throw
a wide variety of presentations, from a downhill to vertical
teal, chandelle's and rabbits. We pride ourselves on
being able to change our course every week. Some of
the shooting sports we offer are a 24 Station Sporting Clay
Course, 2 100 Round Courses(1 novice and 1 competition), 5-Stand, Skeet, Trap, Patterning Board and a Rifle
Range.
We have also added a few new buildings with the opening
of the sporting clay course. We have a Pro-Shop/Office
with a full line of Shooting Inventory and Ammunition.
Golf cart and gun rentals are available here. A
pavilion has been added to the back of the Pro-Shop that can
accommodate 150 plus people, and a covered Bar-B-Q area.
The Snack Bar is open Wed., Fri., Sat. and Sun. for lunch,
serving Hamburgers, Hotdogs and don't forget the desserts.
We are able to have any of your special events catered
whether it is a large corporate meeting or a small group of
friends. Big Red oak will be more than happy to help
host your next fund raiser, we will assist you in your
profit to your organization and will represent the
professional image you're looking for. We will be more
than happy to run the scores for this event, this allows fun
for everyone and keeps competition in check for all who
participates.
We are open to the public. Membership is not
required to visit us at Big Red Oak Plantation. We do
have various membership levels available. These
memberships do offer special rates, discounts and
privileges. Here is a list of our assorted membership
levels. We're sure you will find a membership to fit
your needs. Charter Corporate, Charter Individual,
Gold Corporate, Silver Corporate, Bronze Corporate, Family
and Individual Memberships.
