Deer Hunting
Reservations required.

Meriwether County is under State Quality
Deer Management (QDM). All bucks harvested must have a
minimum of 4 points, 1 inch or longer, on one side of the
antlers. For the past 20 years here at Big Red Oak we
have taken it a step farther and limited bucks to at least 8
points or better with a 15 inch spread (outside of ears).
(All hunts include lodging, meals,
professional guide & transportation to and from stand)

LIMITS - 2 or 3 day hunt - - - - 4
deer (1 buck, 3 does or 4 does)
An additional buck may be taken for a $750
trophy fee. Button bucks (antlers showing) count
toward limit and may be assessed a trophy fee. A $500
fine will be assessed for any buck taken under the QDM
standards. Deer shot and lost count toward limit.
Georgia Big Game License is
required to hunt deer and is the responsibility of the
hunter to obtain this license prior to hunt. Licenses
are not available at the lodge.
Father/Son or Father/Daughter Hunts
Children must be 12 to 16 years of age to
hunt. They must hunt with parent or guardian from one
stand. The child hunts for half price. Only one
limit applies.
