We at Big Red Oak Plantation are proud to have more than 20 Guides available to you, any day of the week, throughout the season.  Each Guide is proud to use their own well seasoned, trained dogs for your pleasure.  All Guides are experienced hunters and dog handlers.

Big Red Oak Plantation also has 30 dogs available for use at any given time.  Our string of dogs includes German Shorthaired Pointers, English Pointers, Brittany Spaniels and an assortment of Setters.  We also have Labrador's for our Pheasant Shoots.

Gary Miller, the chief guide and dog trainer, has professionally trained hunting dogs and field trial champions for over 40 years.  Gary has the ability to train any type of bird dog you bring his way, from the hard headed to the one you're not getting any results out of.  From start to finish or all levels in between.  Gary still trains a limited number of dogs for the public.

Michael Bashaw, the Manager and Dog Trainer, will assist you in any way he can.  Michael is responsible for the smooth operation of the Preserve.  Some of his duties include the Sporting Clay Courses, Dog Training, Land Management, Food Plots and everyday upkeep.  His goal is to make your visit to Big Red Oak Plantation the best it can be.
